 There are two kinds of material we use mostly in wooden furniture manufacture, that is, MDF and plywood, both of them have different components and their own advantages.

 MDF is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into woodfibres. MDF is generally denser and superficially more smooth than plywood, which leads to a better reaction with lacquer. 

 So, needing lacquered furnitures mostly apply MDF to have a glossy appearance and smooth surface, such as jewelry showcase, cosmetic kiosk, phone accessary kiosk,etc.

 As to plywood, it is a manufactured wood panel from the family of manufactured boards, made from thin sheets of wood veneer. Plywood is lighter than MDF,which contributes to its use in food kiosk, or exhibition booth.
